How to Use a Pet Safe Shock Collar
- 1). Cut the hair on the front of the dog's neck with a pair of scissors if it is more than an inch long. The collar may be unable to detect vibrations if there is too much hair. Cut it down to ½ inch or shorter.
- 2). Unhook the collar and hold the sensor against the front of the dog's neck. Make sure the sensors are flat against the center of the neck.
- 3). Hook the collar together to secure it in place. Make sure it's tight enough that it stays in place, but loose enough that you can easily fit a finger between the collar and the dog's neck.
- 4). Locate the circular battery module on the underside of the collar. Insert the side of a coin into the groove and turn the module counter clockwise until it stops. When the two small arrows line up, it indicates that the battery is turned on.
