Instructions for Steam Fast
- 1). Assemble the Steam Fast. Slide the handle into the thicker or upper piece of the telescopic pole until it snaps into place. Push in the release button found at the bottom of the thinner end of the pole. Insert the pole into the top of the mop head, training the button so that it passes through the indentation. Let go of the button and let it snap into the locked position.
- 2). Spread a microfiber cloth on the floor. Face the two hook and loop strips facing upward. Lift up the mop head with the cloth and press the head down onto it. The hook and loop pads will snag the pad grips on the bottom side of the mop.
- 3). Fill the water tank. The unit takes 30 seconds to heat the water, which provides up to 25 minutes of steam. Make sure the unit is unplugged and the switch is in the "Off" position. Unscrew the boiler cap and fill the measuring cup with 8.5 ounces of water. Pour it through the boiler fill hole. To fill the boiler completely, add another 1.5 ounces. Screw the cap back into place. The device is ready to steam.
- 4). Remove the plastic coating from the electrical plug, then plug it into a wall electrical outlet. Face the textured side of the resting pad on the floor, facing up. Put the mop head on top of the resting pad, to protect the surface from the steam and moisture.
- 5). Push down on the switch with your foot until it clicks. The red light will illuminate to show that the Steam Fast is on. The green heating light will show that the boiler is heating up. Steam will come out in about three minutes. Take the unit off the resting pad and start mopping.
- 6). Bring the Steam Fast mop over the surface in a back and forth motion. Work your way across the floor, avoiding contact with areas you have already mopped. Run the mop over one small area for two minutes for effective disinfecting.
- 7). Use all the water until the green light turns off. This shows that the boiler is empty. If you want to use it again, turn the unit off, unplug it and refill it.
- 8). Shorten the Steam Fast's handle to convert it to a fabric steamer or handheld steam cleaner. Hold the unit up to curtain or other fabrics if you want to refresh or de-wrinkle them. You can also run the unit over countertops or other surfaces to disinfect them.
