Aim Low For Extraordinary Abs

Extraordinary abs can be your most envied body part if you give your lower abdominal muscles the attention they deserve.
Most often men engage in workouts for total development of the abs, not bothering to specifically strength-train the most vital lower muscles.
Training the upper abs is a piece of cake for most fitness freaks.
It's the lower abs that pine for special attention.
Kick Boxing is a great stress reliever and highly effective workout that target the lower abs.
So what are you waiting for? Find a boxing bag and kick it continuously, counting till 100 for each leg.
Now don't just kick for the sake of kicking and you won't have any visible results to show off.
Another exercise that deserves some attention is the Pelvic Lift.
True to its meaning, the Pelvic Lift raises the pelvis using a whole hearted effort by the muscles in the lower abdominal region.
There is a lot of exertion and sweat involved which is extremely beneficial in shaping up those ab muscles that have been put through years of neglect.
For the Pelvic Lift, you need to lie perpendicular to the ground with your arms close beside you and palms facing downwards.
The sole of your feet should stare at the ceiling.
Now form a slight bend at the knee and cross your ankles.
Raise your pelvis making a mental effort to let your feet touch the ceiling.
Hold and let it go slowly.
Repeat the movement in a smooth manner without any jerks that can twist your pelvis out of proportion.
Aim for 40 repetitions.
Ever heard of the Exercise Ball? These days large colorful balls are found in every gym and fitness centre.
Interestingly these colored balls are not being kicked around but rolled on.
Lie on your tummy on an exercise ball with your upper thighs resting on the ball and your hands gripping the floor.
The rest is pretty simple.
Just keep rolling on the ball with your tummy or lower abs.
Unlike the other two exercises for lower abs, there definitely is a lot of fun element in the Ball Roll.
Once you begin to get the hang of it, you will be waiting for the next session to roll your abs and slash all the flab.
