How to Trap Mice

Put on a pair of rubber gloves. - 2). Bait the catch pan of the trap with peanut butter by spreading it on the pan with a butter knife.
- 3). Pull the hammer or jaw of the trap over to the opposite side of the trap to engage the spring tension.
- 4). Lift the holding bar over the jaw and slip it beneath the hook of the catch pan.
- 5). Move your fingers away from the trap components on top and hold the bottom platform of the trap to transport it.
- 6). Place the trap along a wall behind appliances, furniture or cabinets where the mice are likely to be traveling. Place traps where you've heard noises. Check the trap every 24 hours until the mouse is trapped. Reset and rebait the trap after each kill. Set 12 to 20 traps to ensure all mice are trapped.
- 7). Place traps in the attic where noises have been heard. Place a dozen set snap traps around a small plate loaded with dry dog food for multiple catches. Throw dead mice into a garbage bag and toss them into the garbage.

Remove the glue trap from its packaging. - 2). Set the glue traps behind furniture, appliances and inside closets and cupboards. Set up 12 to 20 traps at a time, depending on how large you suspect the mouse population is.
- 3). Check the traps every 24 hours and throw the whole trap and mouse in the garbage after catching.

- 3). Set the cage trap in an area where noise has been heard. This can be behind appliances and furniture or under cabinets. Set the trap in the attic or in closets if noise has been heard in these areas.
- 4). Check the traps every 24 hours.
- 5). Put on a pair of gloves and carry the trap outdoors once a mouse is trapped. Open the door of the trap and allow the mouse or mice to escape. Reset and rebait the trap.
