How to Get the Money Mindset
Fail To Prepare Means You Prepare To Fail.
An old, time worn and often used adage in the world of sales and business - but still as valid today as the first time it was said.
Sadly, many who aspire to building a business online either ignore the wisdom of the message or perhaps fail to take it seriously enough.
In their haste to make money online too many would be internet marketeers leap at a half understood concept, or invest in a 'can't fail' eBook opportunity written by someone with little real experience and even fewer scruples.
It is hardly surprising that when the imagined avalanche of cash does not arrive they give up and abandon a potentially life changing and lucrative career that is easily within the reach of almost everyone who owns a computer and is capable of typing their own name.
So, where does preparation begin? How does anyone start the process of becoming a successful online business person? Oddly, and yet simply, enough, it begins in your own mind.
Most of us left school a few years ago and lost the art of 'learning'.
Or at least put it to one side while we meandered into some form of 'career' and faded into the business background.
We became willing victims of the 'Us and Them' system, a system that requires 'Us' to limp financially from payday to payday while 'They' take the real profit and prosper mightily from our labours.
What we have to do then, is change our conscious mindset from not just 'earning' but also 'learning'.
Don't misunderstand where I am coming from here - the system I talk about above has worked for hundreds of years and will go on working long after I, or you for that matter, cease to care.
The point is that there is an alternative, and it is known as the internet.
Now you, I, anyone from a ten year old to a 90 year old and beyond can compete with almost any business on a level playing field.
But you have to be properly prepared, which means moving out of your comfort zone and learning how to play a new game.
You have to learn new techniques, new skills, new technology.
You would not expect to be paid to be a mechanic or a teacher or a brain surgeon without training, training that would usually take years to complete so why then, would anyone think the internet is an easy path to wealth? The answer again is simple.
The web is teeming with unscrupulous so-called 'gurus' who want your money.
They write lengthy, colorful and persuasive sales pages to try and get it.
They will tell you in their blurb how very easy it is to attract huge sums of cash by buying their eBook or program and then pressing a few buttons.
And the human psyche being what it is, the message they broadcast is a welcome one, one we perhaps a little desperately want to believe because if, just if, it works it is the expressway out of money worries and the job we hate.
However, and here comes the good news, the fact is, compared to that job we hate it IS easy.
A lot easier than punching a clock day in day out and hocking our precious time for just enough money to get through another month.
The downside is there is still a learning curve, still an apprenticeship to serve, still the skills to absorb and learn how to use as you start to make internet marketing work for you.
And here is more good news.
If you do it right it doesn't take years.
Maybe not even months.
Maybe, for those who really get their heads in the right place, only weeks.
And of course it can be a lot of fun! Ok, so now we have our minds tuned in.
We're ready to learn, eager to soak up the first real lessons in internet marketing.
And the new question is, how do we find that information? Where is it? Who is going to share it with us and in what form? Whom do we trust? This is where the ground becomes a little less firm underfoot, a little less even, because ultimately these are questions only you can answer.
Let me clarify that.

Affiliate marketing, creating ebooks, online auctions, selling books and other products on Amazon, buying and selling domain names, joint ventures, licensing, etc etc etc.
Just type 'Making Money Online' into the Google searchline and hit go.
You'll have a choice of around 49,500,000 (that's almost 50 million) sites to choose from.
As I said before, there are plenty of online marketers selling lots of information products to teach any and all of those methods.
Some contain sound, if not excellent, material while, sadly, the majority do not.
So, and now there should be an atmosphere of excitement around you, this is your first real starting point.
To firm up that suddenly treacherous ground you need to get active.
Do some research.
The internet is not just the single most prolific marketplace ever devised it is also an infinite well of knowledge.
Search through some of those opportunity sites.
If one interests you and appears to offer an information doorway to an online business you would like to get into, here's what to do.
Go back to Google, type in the title of the program you are considering, or the author, or both, then add the word 'Reviews'.
Then click on go.
Trawl through the resulting websites.
Look for sites that set themselves up as independent Business Opportunity Review experts.
See what people who have perhaps come before you are saying about the program.
Check the dates as far as possible of those comments.
Is the eBook or program current and up to date? Be aware that some unscrupulous marketers are not above setting up reviews of their own product.
Naturally they will be favourable.
Join some business forums and see what is being said about various business opportunities and the people behind them.
Look out though for would be marketers who may have tried the program and failed, not because the program is faulty or old, but because they themselves did not properly move their minds from 'earning to learning', did not pay their dues, did not complete the apprenticeship.
Don't be like them.

A lot of very ordinary people already are.
