How to Get My BlackBerry 8330 to Pair With a BlackBerry 8830
- 1). Press the BlackBerry button on the 8830 to bring up the main list of applications. Scroll down to the "Options" icon, which looks like a wrench, and select it.
- 2). Select "Bluetooth" from the menu that appears. Press the "Menu" key, located to the left of the trackball, and choose "Enable Bluetooth" from the menu. Repeat this process on the 8330 to turn on Bluetooth technology for both devices.
- 3). Press the "Menu" button on the 8830 and choose "Options" from the pop-up menu to enter the Bluetooth options. Scroll to "Discoverable," select it and choose "Yes." Press the "Back" button, located to the right of the 8830 trackball, and choose "Save" from the options that appear on the screen.
- 4). Press the "Menu" button on the Curve 8330. Choose "Add device" from the pop-up menu. Select "OK" to start searching for devices.
- 5). Choose the 8830 from the list of devices that appears on the screen. If you named the 8830, you will see the device name instead of "8830."
- 6). Enter a passkey into each device. The passkey can be whatever you want it to be, but you must enter the same code into both BlackBerrys. Once you enter the code, press the trackball. When you have done this on both devices, the 8830 and 8330 will be paired.
