Unknown Facts about Underfloor Heating Systems Revealed

101 26
Underfloor heating system as the name indicates is used for heating the floors in almost all buildings – be it commercial, residential or industrial. It comes with many options, of which the hydronic floor heating is today the most popular. Though some people prefer electric radiant floor heating, in terms of expenses, the hydronic heating system using hot water is cheaper and sometimes more effective.

•#Can underfloor heating fulfill all the heating requirements? - Yes it can, provided your home or commercial area is properly insulated from within. This means that it should be compliant with current building regulations. On the other hand, if your building is quite old, then yes you will have to have an additional heat source for absolute heating requirements.

•#Which flooring types are ideal for underfloor heating? – Well, almost all floor types! Name a floor type and you can use this heating method almost everywhere. Stone, tile, granite, wood, vinyl/ linoleum and the list is endless. Using carpets however affects the overall performance of the floors, so keep that in mind if you prefer warmer floors.

•#How much time is required for the floors to heat up? – This is very important especially during winters when you would not like to step on a cold floor after getting out of the bed. That is why I suggest you use insulated sub floor like plywood etc for instant heating. So, if you have sub floor that is uninsulated concrete, then make sure you switch on the heating system much before you step on the floor.

•#Can I install Underfloor Heating on an already existing tiled floor? Well yes, but only if you are strong enough to bear getting your tiles ripped. And also, be ready to bear the additional expenses.

Remember this guidelines while choosing your underfloor heating needs and enjoy warmth at home, office and just everywhere just within1 to 3 weeks of its installation. In addition, I personally suggest that you go for hydronic floor heating rather than electric floor heating rather to save your valuable money and use it elsewhere!
