How to Decorate the Head Table With Tulle
- 1). Determine how many bows you will need based on the placement of your table. If all sides of your table will be visible, you will need four bows for the corners. If only the front will be visible, just place bows on the front corners. If your table is over 12-feet-long, you will need to place an additional bow about every six feet along the top edge of the table.
- 2). Cut a 4-yard length and a 1-yard length of tulle for every bow. Draw two lines six inches to the left and right of the center of the cardboard. The marks will be 12 inches apart. Gather the center of the long piece of tulle and pin it to the center of the cardboard.
- 3). Stretch the tulle out and pin it at the two lines. Remove the center pin. Fold the tulle back toward the center and pin in at the lines again. Keep folding the fabric back and forth, making loops on each side and pinning them.
- 4). When all the fabric is folded, tie the center of the loops together with the shorter piece of tulle. Tie a double knot. The end of the short piece will hang down and be the tails of the bow. Remove the pins and fluff the loops of the bow.
- 5). Put the cloth on the table. Mark the placement of the bows with pins. Loosely swag lengths of tulle between these points, gathering up the tulle at the pins. Pin on the bows.
