2009
Here's First Lady Michelle Obama at the Annual White House Correspondent's Association Gala. Mrs. Obama's makeup was originally done by Chicagoan Ingrid Grimes-Myles, who worked on Mrs. Obama's makeup for 14 months, on the campaign trail, at the Democratic Convention, the election night rally at Grant Park in Chicago and the inaugural festivities.
Admittedly the eyebrow arch was too high during the 2008 campaign, making her look a bit angry, so Myles began to retrain her eyebrows.
Myles decided to stay in Chicago to be with her husband and children, and celebrity makeup artist Derrick Rutledge, who has worked on singers Patti LaBelle and Chaka Khan, came on board as the First Lady's makeup artist.
