Research on the Internet for personal shoppers in your area. This can be done by looking up terms that are related, such as, "personal stylist" or "private shopper." Many stylists offer personal shopping services to clients on a one-time or ongoing basis. Although, this type of personal shopper will cost money, the person will not have to shop at only one store for you. The personal shopper will go to numerous boutiques and department stores to find the clothing that truly looks best on your body and at the best price.

Go to a major department store and ask for a personal shopper. Almost all major department stores, including Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom, have personal shopping services. At these department stores, a personal shopper is a free service. The personal shopper can work with you just that one time to find items in the store that will look good on you, or the personal shopper can set aside items at the store, as they come in each season, that he or she thinks would fit you well. The personal shopper will then call you when there are items for you to try on. At some stores, the personal shopper may even mail you garments that he or she thinks you would like. If you don't like the pieces, you simply mail them back, whereas if you like them, your credit card will be charged.
