Combat Hair Loss
Some people have a crown of hair that they can be proud of; while others have to find ways and means in order to combat hair loss.
This world is unfair at times, and there is nothing that we can do about this unfairness.
What we can do, however, is to take steps to help ourselves to minimize the problem of losing hair.
Let me share a few tips that are helpful in stopping the hair loss problem.
1.
Make sure you get plenty of minerals and vitamins.
Hair loss is sometimes caused by an insufficient intake of what the body needs.
Did you know that a lack of certain minerals and vitamins will cause hair to be brittle and break easily? While there is an amount of hair that falls naturally every day, let's not allow a deficiency in vitamins and minerals to hasten the rate at which hair falls.
Taking vegetables and fruits, or supplements can help your body to achieve its needed natural balance.
2.
Wash your hair regularly.
Scalp and hair hygiene is important.
Some people are afraid of washing their hair because they think that washing the hair causes or hastens hair loss.
They see strands of hair come away in their hands when they wash, and believe that more hair is dropping as a result.
The truth of the matter is, however, washing hair doesn't result in greater hair loss.
These hair are just the normal shedding of hair, revealed and removed by washing.
Take note though that you don't exert too much force on your hair while washing.
Being overly rough will cause healthy hair to be pulled out.
3.
Use a good shampoo and conditioner.
Keratin can be found in good shampoos and conditioners and serves to improve the condition of the hair and scalp.
What this means is that the hair is stronger and healthier, and the rate of hair fall drops.
Take care to choose those that suit your scalp.
You may want to purchase smaller bottles initially to try out, until you know that the shampoo or conditioner suit your scalp and hair.
4.
Gently massage your scalp.
Massaging the scalp causes more blood flow to that area, and bringing nutrients and protein to the hair.
You can do this before you sleep, or when you bathe.
Take care not to scratch your scalp with your fingernails.
If you do this daily for about 20 minutes each time, you should be able to see a difference after a month.
It feels good and is also a great way to relax.
5.
Take less salt.
It's been said that excessive salt intake causes hair loss.
While this is unconfirmed, there have been reports of people who cut down on salty food intake and saw improvements.
Taking a bit of salt is good for your body to function well, but check that the amount of salty food in the diet is cut down.
