How to Fit Tile Edging
- 1). Measure the span you want to edge. Mark the middle with a small pencil mark.
- 2). Spread tile adhesive on the back of a bullnose tile, using a notched trowel.
- 3). Set the bullnose tile to the wall, alongside the area you're edging, on one side of the pencil mark. Position the tile with the finished edge facing out, away from the area you're edging. Set two spacers between the bullnose tile and the area.
- 4). Spread adhesive over the back of a second bullnose tile. Hang it on the wall next to the first tile, lining up the bullnose edges and putting spacers between them.
- 5). Repeat the process, setting tiles all along the area you're edging, working from the middle to the sides. Cut the last tiles on both ends with a tile cutter to fit. Let the adhesive set overnight.
- 6). Remove the spacers.
- 7). Spread grout over the tiles with a grout float, pressing the grout into the spaces between the tiles. Wipe up the excess grout with a damp sponge.
