Overcoming Low Self Esteem - Understanding the 3 Strategies to Overcoming Low Self Esteem
Now lets get started! Low self esteem is basically a feeling that you are somehow insufficient compared to other people.
This feeling becomes a belief, and this belief will dictate your actions which in turn will reinforce your beliefs and the vicious downward spiral begins.
Our job today is to break this cycle and point you in the right direction to reconnect you with your true self esteem.
Overcoming Low Self Esteem - Understanding The 3 Strategies To Overcoming Low Self Esteem.
1) Accept Your Flaws - When overcoming low self esteem you must become more humble, and be willing to accept any flaws you have which may be affecting your mood.
A fantastic and super effective affirmation to help you accept any flaws is "I'm (insert flaw, fat, old, etc), but that's ok, i don't mind.
" Let that sink in for a moment, you will probably feel an instant release of tension in your mind.
Accept what you cannot change in yourself and you will be so much happier and confident for doing so.
2) Make Improvements Where You Can - Where ever possible, try to improve yourself for the better as this is a vital part to overcoming low self esteem.
If you can't fix something then feature it.
You may have crooked teeth or a funny shaped head, but that does not mean that you can't have clean teeth and a great haircut.
3) Follow Your Internal Compass - So many people in today's society are following other peoples agendas as they will not stand up for what they believe in and follow their dreams, don't be one of them! Confidence and self esteem will flow when you realise what you want out of life and go for it! Make sure it is what YOU want and not what someone else wants.
This is important in overcoming low self esteem...
