    Trouble Playing DVDs

    • 1). Click on the Windows Start Menu in the lower left corner of your desktop. Select the "Help and Support" option on the right side of the menu.

    • 2). Locate the "Pick a Help Topic" section and click "Fixing a Problem."

    • 3). Click on the "Games, Sounds and Video Problems" in the left-hand pane to narrow down your issue.

    • 4). Click on the "DVD Troubleshooter" in the right-hand pane. Choose the option

      that describes your issue. Click "Next" and let the troubleshooting guide diagnose the problem. Repeat the process with another issue from the list of options, if necessary.

    Windows DVD Player and Dual Displays

    • 1). Place the cursor on your desktop background, right-click and select the "Settings" option. Click "Display," then "Screen Resolutions" and then "Properties."

    • 2). Open the "Settings" options under the "Properties" section. An image of two screens will appear, representing your dual displays.

    • 3). Locate the "Multiple Displays" settings and manually remove one of the displays, so only one screen appears under the "Settings" tab. If this does not work, unplug one of the monitors from the back of your computer.
