Psychedelic Music: - Another Style Of Rock
The term psychedelic was first coined in the year 1957 by Humphry Osmond who was a physiatrist. This was the alternative name of the hallucinating drugs. The first use of the word was made by New York based folk group. Psychedelic rock is a type of rock music which is inspired from the psychedelic culture. Certain attempts were made to enhance and replicate the experience of mind altering psychedelic drugs. There were new techniques and effects used to create more soothing music such as drones of turn-down music and ragas. This music was emerging in the mid 1960s and slowly gained popularity.
