How Do I Put Music on My Video iPod?
- 1). Insert the supplied USB cable into the USB connection port on the iPod. Insert the remaining end of the USB cable in a USB connection port on the computer.
- 2). Enter the name of your choice for your iPod when instructed. This is required only upon your first iPod and computer connection.
- 3). Navigate to the empty box next to "Automatically Sync Songs to my iPod." Click once inside the box to insert a checkmark. When the checkmark appears, click "Done."
- 4). Select your video iPod from the list of devices displayed on the computer screen.
- 5). Select the "Music" tab at the screen top. Allow your iTunes song collection list a few moments to appear.
- 6). Choose your syncing method: Options include "Entire Music Library" for every song you have downloaded from iTunes, and "Selected Playlists, Artists, Albums and Genres" to choose on a song-by-song basis. If you select the second option, you will be prompted to choose the specific music you want to import to your video iPod at this time.
- 7). Wait for the "Syncing Music" message display on your computer screen -- it normally appears instantly. Do not touch the USB cord or disconnect your iPod during this process or it could disrupt the download.
- 8). Click "Eject" on your computer screen when the "iPod Sync Is Complete. OK To Disconnect" message is displayed.
- 9). Disconnect the video iPod from the computer. Your music is now synced to your video iPod.
