How to Connect a 1394 TV to Windows XP
- 1). Insert the IEEE 1394 firewire cable into the firewire connection port on the back of the firewire TV tuner card.
- 2). Connect the opposite end of the cable into the firewire port on the computer. This connection port looks just like a USB cable port; however, one end is curved and has a "Y"-shaped icon next to it.
- 3). Insert the driver installation CD into the disc drive of the computer. The system needs this driver to properly understand and read the connected TV card. Momentarily the installation wizard loads onto the screen.
- 4). Click "Next" on the welcome page, then scroll through and accept the license agreement. Click "Next" for both the installation name and location (this leaves the information as the default settings), then click "Install" to install the drivers.
- 5). Restart the computer and the Windows XP computer automatically detects the connected IEEE 1394 TV tuner card.
