    • 1). Locate the proper drivers for your video card. If you have a system recovery CD for your computer, the drivers will be located on that disk. Otherwise, you will need to download the drivers by visiting the computer or video card manufacturer's company website. The appropriate drivers will normally be found in the "Support" or "Software" section of the site. Browse until you find your computer model listed, and choose to save the drivers to the hard drive.

    • 2). Install the software drivers. If you downloaded them, open the saved file and follow the steps in the installer by clicking "Next" when needed. To manually install drivers from a recovery CD or zip file, right-click on "My Computer," select "Properties," the "Hardware" tab and then "Device Manager." Click the plus sign next to "Display Adapters," right-click on the device that pops up and select "Update Driver." Point the wizard to the location of the drivers, such as the CD drive.

    • 3). Restart the computer to allow the newly installed drivers to be applied. When the computer restarts, the screen may look different, and you might have to adjust your resolution by clicking "Start," "Control Panel," "Display" and then "Settings." Open Internet Explorer, and scroll down a page. The movement will now be smooth instead of wavy.
