This Might Trump A Good Diet

No matter how hard we try sometimes it seems that there is always something standing in our way.
It may get us discouraged, it may not, but in an event that little road block as small as it is might be adding fuel to a fire that may never stop burning.
That fire being called into question is your stress level.
Stress is in overwhelming reason why people are over weight or even obese.
It is that stress that causes people to binge eat a lot of foods that do nothing more than damage your overall health and wellness.
So life gets you a little down and you might head out for that comfort food and that seems to do the trick until the next time stress strikes and so the cycle begins.
From that point on each and every time your life becomes a little stressful you will reach for those comfort foods and sooner than later you will be out of options to help you reduce stress leaving you with a host of other stress-causing health problems.
There is another side to this story.
What about those people that have corrected those bad eating habits and still find themselves putting on the pounds? Sadly, that just makes it that much harder to try and keep the weight off no matter how rock solid their plan for eating to lose weight can be.
Stress is an immutable fact of life.
It happens to all of us, and those that seem to ward it off are better for it even if their diet is not up to speed.
Why is it such a big deal? Why is stress such a problem when it comes to weight loss? When we get stressed out our body releases a hormone called 'Cortisol.
' This hormone is our 'feel good' hormone and one that our body could do without.
While cortisol makes us feel better it also helps our body to store a fat that is very difficult to remove.
For that reason it is important to take measures in your own life to help you rid yourself of the unwanted stress no matter how good or poor your diet is.
Some ways to help keep your stress level down is to partake in physical activities whether it be going to the gym or taking the family pet for a walk.
That might also mean doing yoga or meditation, and it might even be as drastic as analyzing your relationships and seeing which ones are helping your stress and which ones are fueling it.
The point is, no matter how good or poor your diet is stress will always win out, and the only way to beat it is to find your own stress relief that does not involve that comfort food.
