Stocking your fridge with the wrong types of foods could be bad for your health.
What exactly are the foods that are not good? We have probably wondered if the foods we grab from our refrigerators are always the best choices for us.
I will be going through 10 items you should not be choosing.
Stocking Your Fridge With These Foods: 1) Butter - Butter is full of saturated fats and is loaded with calories.
It will also cause your bad cholesterol to rise.
You can always choose a lighter version with fewer calories.
2) Margarine - This will add a lot of calories and fat to your foods.
Also, your bad cholesterol will increase.
Again, try to choose less calorie choices.
3) Dairy Products - These are products such as milk and cheese.
These dairy products are usually high in calories and fat content.
You can reduce the amount of calories by choosing skim milk, which has a lot less calories.
Also, make sure to choose reduce fat cheese.
4) Yogurt - Don't buy yogurt that is full of sugar.
The majority of yogurts have a lot of things such as sugar and very little good stuff in there for you.
Choose to go for the non fat low calorie version of a plain yogurt.
5) Fatty Meats - These meats have a lot of calories and trans fat.
Try eating meats that are more leaner, such as chicken or fish.
Also, try some extra lean turkey breast.
6) Ice Cream - Don't buy a great big container of ice cream.
You will be more tempted to eat a lot more and your portion sizes will be hard to control.
Ice cream is high in fat and has lots of calories.
Go for the fewer calorie versions and don't over eat them.
7) Meats rich with nitrates - Don't resort to buy deli meats, hot dogs, and other such meats.
Nitrates preserve meats and can increase your risk of developing cancers.
Try looking for meats that are nitrate free.
8) Beverages - Try to not drink or at least limit your consumption of soda pops or fruit juices, because they contain a lot of sugar in them.
They also have a lot of empty calories, which will eventually increase your weight.
Drink more water instead! 9) Pastries - Don't eat a lot of sugary junk foods.
They have a lot fat and calories.
10) Frozen Foods - Try not to be eating a lot of frozen dinners, such as frozen pizzas etc.
These foods are full of preservatives and unhealthy fats, because of the full fat content on these foods.
