A Simple Acne Treatment Method - The Toothpaste on Spots Technique

When I was in college for about 18 months I suffered with mild acne.
I used to put just about every over the counter cream on it and I tried just about every remedy I could find.
However, one of the simplest, and at times very effective, quick treatments was simple toothpaste.
If you are in a hurry to get rid of acne spots you need to try toothpaste on spots to get rid of pimples fast.
Using toothpaste is one of the fastest spot treatment methods for acne.
While you can't prevent acne in every instance, with a bit of toothpaste in hand you can get rid of it as fast as you possibly can.
Here are some tips on how to use toothpaste on acne spots.
How to Use it When shopping for toothpaste to use as an acne treatment it is not the same as looking for a paste to brush your teeth with.
You need a brand that has as little fluoride as possible.
Once you find the right toothpaste to use, just put a dab of toothpaste on acne formations.
You may want to do a bit of allergy testing first to see if your skin reacts to the use of toothpaste.
Try a bit on a small area behind the ear or wrist to see how it may affect your skin.
How Long to Leave it On If you have super oily skin, there is no harm in leaving on the toothpaste overnight as you sleep.
The toothpaste acts like benzoyl peroxide and dries up the acne formation.
If you have relatively dry skin however, you will want to leave the toothpaste on the formation for far less time.
Try leaving it on the spots for fifteen to twenty minutes.
Make sure you use a mild skin cream to wash away toothpaste residue or film when it is time to do so.
Using toothpaste might seem to easy to actually work, but you shouldn't knock it until you try it.
Have an open mind and see what happens.
However, you must be realistic, if you have severe acne; it isn't going to deal with it.
For ongoing or chronic acne you really need to deal with the problem naturally from the inside out.
