    • 1). Click on the "Wireless Networks Detected" icon on your Windows XP system tray. The system tray is located on the far right side of the task bar.

    • 2). Click on the final option in the menu that appears, labeled "View All Available Wireless Connections." This opens the "Wireless Network Connection" window.

    • 3). Click "Refresh Network List" to ensure that you see before you a list of all networks your computer is in range of.

    • 4). Click on the name of a network.

    • 5). Click "Connect." Enter a password if the Windows XP operating system prompts you to do so. Once you enter a password (or once you click "Connect" for non-protected networks), your wireless connection will be completely set up and ready to use.
