Easy Birdhouse Instructions
- 1). Measure and draw out the pieces of your birdhouse with a ruler and pencil on the wood. The front and back measurements are 9 1/2 inches by 7 1/4 inches with a peak of 45 degrees. The roof pieces are 7 inches by 6 1/2 inches and 6 1/2 inches by 6 1/4 inches. The two sides are 5 3/4 inches by 4 inches. The floor is 5 3/4 inches by 4 inches.
- 2). Cut out each piece with a jigsaw. Cut out the corners of the bottom at a 45-degree angle.
- 3). Drill out an entry hole. The size of the hole will depend on the size of bird you want to attract.
- 4). Attach the sides of the birdhouse to the front with finishing nails.
- 5). Attach the back to the sides with finishing nails.
- 6). Pre-drill two holes on each side of the side pieces about 1/2 inch from the bottom.
- 7). Attach the bottom with deck screws.
- 8). Attach the top by nailing the short piece to the birdhouse and then the larger piece. The larger piece will overlap the short piece.
- 9). Screw in the eye screws and attach the chain by the eye screws.
