Hanging a Large Picture on a Plaster Wall
- 1). Measure the distance between anchor points on the back of the picture and transfer the measurements to the wall in the desired area. Use a laser level to verify the anchor points are perfectly level.
- 2). Select a drill bit equivalent in diameter to the anchor bolt and fit it into the drill. Holding the drill perpendicular to the ground, drill a pilot hole through each of the pre-measured anchor points.
- 3). Push a molly bolt into each of the holes so the end with the screw head faces outwards. Use a screwdriver to turn the screw in the bolt until it will not turn any farther, then loosen the screw just slightly so the screw head sits slightly out from the wall.
- 4). Hook the anchor points on the back of the picture over the screw heads to secure the picture to the wall.
