How to Nail Into Concrete Blocks
- 1). Purchase a hammer drill. You need electric tools for this task; you cannot simply bash away at a nail into concrete as it will simply chip the concrete and it is dangerous if the nail slips. Fit the drill with a 1/8-inch masonry drill-bit.
- 2). Buy a concrete nail. This is a specialized product (sometimes known as a "grip-con" nail) which will stay firmly in place, even in a pre-drilled hole.
- 3). Drill a hole as deep as the nail into the concrete wall. This will provide a space for you to hammer the nail into --- and if you use the correct nail it will still stay in place despite the fact you have a pre-drilled hole.
- 4). Firmly hammer the nail deep into the hole you have created. If you have only used a 1/8-inch drill bit then you should still require a reasonable deal of force to get the nail in.
