    Classes

    • The NYHRC conducts classes in several types of yoga, ballroom dancing, aerobics, strength training and more. Personal training is available, after a fitness consultation. Custom programs allow individuals to experience training designed for their body type, goals and ability levels. Personal nutrition counseling is also on the menu.

    Racquetball and More

    • NYHRC hosts racquetball, squash, wallyball and handball at courts at its Wall Street, midtown East and midtown West locations. Join a NYHRC sports league, or play noncompetitively. Play basketball at its courts with friends or co-workers. Go climbing on a lunch break on its rock-climbing walls.

    Pools, Saunas, Massage

    • Most NYHRC locations include swimming pools, in addition to swimming workout classes in Aqua Fit, Aqua Tai or Aquacise. Each club also features saunas and steam rooms, along with whirlpools. Licensed professionals administer a variety of 55-minute massage sessions, including shiatsu, medical, sports therapy, Swedish, deep tissue, reflexology and aromatherapy.

    Escapes

    • From spring through fall, set out on a cruise on the NYHRC's own 75-foot yacht. Holiday cruises include Mother's and Father's Day and the Fourth of July, or charter the yacht for private parties. A NYHRC beach club is located in Westchester County on Long Island Sound, with tennis courts and Olympic-size pool. Play golf at the Doral Arrowwood Golf Club, also in Rye, or the Centennial Golf Club in Carmel. Tennis is available at special rates for NYHRC members at the Westhampton Beach Tennis Club.

    Locations

    • NYHRC has 10 locations in New York City as well a facility in Great Neck, Long Island. The clubs go from Wall Street to uptown, with addresses on Whitehall Street, Astor Place/Cooper Square and 13th, 21st, 23rd, 45th, 50th, 56th, 57th and 76th Streets. Not all clubs offer the same amenities.
