Sansa 2.0Gb MP3 Troubleshooting
- 1). Check the song's file type, if certain songs aren't being played. The Sansa will only support MP3, WMA, secure WMA, WAV and audible files. If you didn't buy the song, you might not have rights to play the file on your Sansa. Try playing a song that you either know you paid for or that you copied from a CD. If this song will play, and the other continues not to, then you need to purchase the song officially. Also, check the song's bitrate information by right clicking on the file in properties. The Sansa will only support 64 to 320 kilobytes per second for MP3s and 32 to 192 kbps for WMA files.
- 2). Update your file's information, if the song title and artist title are missing. Right click the song on your computer and select "Properties," "Summary Tab," then "Advanced." Click to the "Artist" field and enter in the name of the artist who performs the song. Next, click on the "Album" field and type in the name of the artist's album that the song came from. Click "Song Title" to add a song name to the file information. You may also enter information into fields regarding track number, year and genre.
- 3). Drag and drop music files into your Sansa from your computer, if you are experiencing trouble adding songs to your Sansa library. First, connect your Sansa to your PC using the supplied USB cable. Plug one end securely into your Sansa (into the port on the left side) and the other into your PC's USB port. Select "Open Device" using Windows Explorer, and double-click on the device icon indicated as your Sansa. Click the "Music" icon. Click and hold on the song you want to add to your Sansa, move your mouse over to the Sansa device, dragging the song over to it. When you're hovering over the Sansa window with your song, let go of the button and the song will drop into your Sansa library.
