German Forklift Training
- Forklift driving licenses are established to ensure that only qualified drivers will be authorized to use this potentially dangerous plant. By undergoing the course and passing the exam, a forklift driver proves he has the ability to do so.
- Courses are offered by certified plant driving schools in all major German cities and last between one and two days. As of late 2010, course costs are between 120 and 250 euros.
- The exam will consist of a theoretical and a practical test. The multiple choice theoretical test will include questions about Health and Safety, and cover some technical issues. The practical test will examine the drivers about their skills in driving and maneuvering, plus an assessment in secure stapling of pallets or boxes.
