The foremost important thing in a woman’s balanced diet is calcium. Calcium intake for a woman should be at least 1000-1200 mg per day. For this, women should consume at three servings of milk products a day. For instance, you can start by having a 250 mL of milk, 175 grams of yogurt, and 45 grams of cheese. There are certain women who do not like milk products, for them there are alternatives of calcium supplement. They can also try some other calcium sources. The calcium intake is very crucial because by the time a woman reaches her thirties, the bones stop to grow. The bone density also reduces by the time a woman reaches her forties. She needs to have more dairy foods, fish, leafy green vegetables and even non-dairy products that are calcium enriched.

A woman should also have good rest and a good night’s sleep every night. Being restless just adds to the stress and ultimately the health will be affected. If you are having trouble in having a good sleep then you should avoid any arguments before sleeping, avoid excess intake of caffeine, vitamin C and sugar. Extensive exercise could also be the reason why you may not be falling asleep. You can try a hot bath, a cup of herbal tea, or even a warm milk glass at the bedtime to try falling asleep.

A woman should add more fruits and vegetables in her diet. These natural products give the required energy to the body and helps in detoxifying. It also helps in eliminating the bodily wastes. A woman should have lots of water every day and cut down on the intake of caffeine and tea. Instead of the tea, one can try other herbal drinks such as chamile tea or jasmine. These drinks help in giving a glowing skin by hydrating it. With increasing age, a woman should also cut down the intake of cereals and make the diet richer with vegetables and fruits.

Walking and stretching are also essential to keep yourself fit, youthful and slim. Doing a bit of exercise daily makes you feel full of energy. Women should cut down on alcohol and smoking too.
