Amusement Parks

• The warm weather of the summer months can make an amusement park a perfect outdoor group trip. By going as a group, members can find others in the group who enjoy the same rides they do at the amusement park. Others may prefer attending the shows together at the amusement park. There may be some members of the group who want to go to the park to play the games or just spend the day sampling food throughout the park. The group experience allows those smaller groups to form for various activities through the day at the park.
  
  

Picnic

• Organize a group picnic. Choose a location that offers a variety of entertainment such as swimming, fishing and fields for sports. This will allow you to organize games and competitions during your group picnic. It will also provide an opportunity for those who wish to enjoy some quiet time to escape from the group for a little while enjoying nature.
  
  

Sporting Event

• Attend a sporting event as a group. If you contact the stadium ahead of time, you might be able to get a reduced rate for your group's tickets. Ask the stadium operator if your group can be announced as attending the event on the scoreboard or over the public address system. You might even be able to arrange for someone in your group to do a special activity such as throwing out the first pitch at a baseball game or being an honorary team captain and be introduced before the game.
  
  

Family Reunion

• The summer offers an opportunity for you to invite your family to get together and share in an activity. It might be a cookout at a family member's house. Another option would be to reserve a group of hotel rooms at a destination such as the beach for your extended family to enjoy a vacation together as part of the family reunion.
  
  

Mountain Resort

• Mountain resorts are popular destinations during the winter for skiing, snowboarding and other winter-related activities. During the summer these resorts may have smaller crowds and still offer a variety of outdoor activities for your group. Your group could go on a mountain hike together, or, if there is a waterway, your group could enjoy a boat ride. A mountain resort will offer a secluded location for your group to socialize and catch up with one another away from daily responsibilities such as school and work.
