How To Shut Off the Windows XP Logon Screen At Startup

    • 1). Click "Start" from Windows XP's main menu and type "Run" then press "Enter" to execute the command.

    • 2). Type "Control userpasswords2" in the text box and click "OK."

    • 3). Remove the check mark next to the box titled "Users Must Enter a User Name and Password to Use this Computer." Type your password next to "Automatically Log On" and type it once more next to "Confirm Password."

    • 4). Click "OK" twice to exit out of the Advanced User Accounts Control Panel. Reboot when you are done to apply your settings. The logon screen shouldn't appear anymore.
