    • 1). Disconnect the negative battery cable from your Bronco's battery.

    • 2). Remove the trim panel surrounding your Bronco's cassette player. Depending on the year of your Bronco, some Phillips-head screws may hold the trim panel in place, typically along the top edge of the panel. Remove the screws before prying loose the trim panel. Later model Broncos had no screws on the trim panel. Use a flathead screwdriver to pry the trim panel away from the dash, causing the plastic retaining clips to disengage. Release all of the clips and set the trim panel aside.

    • 3). Remove the Phillips-head screws holding your cassette player in place. Slide the cassette player forward and disconnect the cables from the back panel.

    • 4). Slide the DIN cage included with your CD player into the dash adapter. Slide your CD player into the cage and connect the cables from the dash to the back of the CD player. Refer to the installation instructions included with your CD player for specific directions.

    • 5). Slide the dash adapter and CD player into the dashboard. Use the previously removed Phillips-head screws to mount the CD player to the dash. Replace the trim panel and reconnect your battery.
