How Hidden Security Cameras Can Document Bullying

The NBC news magazine show called "Dateline" is doing a report called "My Kid Would Never Bully.
" It focuses on how youngsters react when confronted with another kid in their inner circle who is being bullied.
I don't think they're very many people who are not aware of the problems of bullying in schools, in the workplace and just in general.
The subject has grabbed many headlines recently with cyber bullying which is another variation of the theme.
This NBC show has young actors-young teens-playing the part of the bullies.
The acting got so intense that at times they had to stop recording because of the internalization of what was happening.
They were trying to make it as realistic as possible, but it got to be too much.
This story was focused around younger kids where most bullying occurs.
It is true that bullying starts in schools but it continues on even to the workplace.
As you may know work environments can be extremely nasty places.
Several years ago my sister ran into a situation in her job where she was being bullied by an employee who was senior to her.
My gut feeling is bullying is more common in union or government offices where it is almost impossible to fire someone.
And don't think the employees don't know what they can get away with.
It didn't happen every day but it happened often enough for her to call me for some brotherly advice.
The advice didn't work.
So I suggested that she contact your supervisor.
That turned out to be a mess.
The employee denied ever saying anything.
It turned out to be a "he said-she said" situation.
Eventually my sister quit.
She's better off her new job.
Bullying has led to several deaths in high school aged kids with cyber bullying.
That gets the headlines.
Bullying occurs everywhere in life-workplace and school.
Often it is a case of "he said she said", which makes it difficult for employers or school administrators to get to the truth.
One sure way to document these cases before they turn physical is with a "body worn" spy camera.
These are the only kinds of cameras that can legally record audio.
They have cameras, a mini DVR and microphone hidden inside small objects like a pen, wristwatch, a car key fob and even sunglasses.
They have limited capabilities because of their size but certainly can record a two-minute confrontation.
Don't continue to be a victim take some positive steps to protect yourself.
