How to Remotely Access Windows 2000 Professional
- 1). Right click on the "My Computer" icon on your Windows 2000 desktop and click "Properties."
- 2). Click on the "Remote" tab.
- 3). Click the "Allow access to my computer..." option and click "OK" to allow remote access to your Windows 2000 computer.
- 4). Click "Start," "Run," type "cmd" and press "Enter." Run the "ipconfig" command and make note of the IP address of your Windows 2000 computer.
- 5). Log in to the computer that you are using to access your Windows 2000 computer. Open the "Start" menu, click "All Programs," "Accessories" and "Remote Desktop Connection."
- 6). Type in the IP address of the Windows 2000 computer, click "Connect," type in the login information for the Windows 2000 computer and click "OK."
