Interval Training For Maximum Fat Loss

103 255
Interval training is a great technique for two key reasons.
First, it uses the active/rest principle, allowing you to more quickly condition your body to achieve your fitness goals faster.
Second, it utilizes both aerobic and anaerobic aspects of exercise, burning more calories and fat than traditional steady-state cardio.
Sprint/Rest Interval training has two basic parts: the sprint phase and the rest phase.
During the sprint phase, you will run or quickly walk at a pace between 1.
5 and 2x your resting pace.
The duration of the sprint phase is up to you, but it should be shorter or equal to your the duration of your rest phase.
The rest phase's intensity should be a manageable pace that you feel comfortable with for a longer period of time.
Example: If your sprint running speed is 6mph, your rest walking speed may be anywhere between 2.
5 and 4mph.
The best part is the fact that these phases can be dynamically scalable.
You don't have to sprint for the same duration every time; sometimes you can sprint for a longer distance or at a faster pace, or you can slow it down if you begin to feel tired.
Combining Aerobic and Anaerobic Aerobic exercise burns calories and fat.
It also conditions your cardiovascular system, increasing bloodflow to your vital organs, resulting in a boost in your metabolism.
By adding the anaerobic component to the mix, your body is using its glycogen stores and body fat to give you the energy for the sprint phase; burning more fat and calories in less time! Added benefits As if burning fat wasn't benefit enough, interval training can be used to enhance many aspects of your workout in general: •When used as a conditioning program, it can reduce the stress placed on your joints and muscles, therein helping you avoid injury.
•It can spice up your workout plan; you will find that time flies by when you are interval training.
No more boring cardio! •You can actually cut the time you spend working out in half because of the simultaneous aerobic/anaerobic stimulus.
Who isn't trying to save time in their day? Used either to enhance your cardio training, or as a fat loss weapon, interval training can give your daily exercise routing a huge boost.
Good luck!
