I found out about this campground on About.com, and I tent camped there in June 2007.
Describe your camping trip:
This campground was great. The tent sites were large and private. The campground is right off of the Blue Ridge Parkway, which makes getting around easy. We camped during the week, and the campground was not crowded, which made it even nicer.
Pros: The bath houses were clean and cleaned often.
The quiet hours were observed and enforced. There are so many things for the family to do at the campground.
Cons: none
Nearby attractions: Grandfather Mountain, Gem Mining, Linville Falls, Boone and Blowing Rock.
Further comments:
This was probably the best campground that my family and I have ever camped in. With two small kids, having a clean and close bath house is important to us. Also I like the fact that the quiet hours were observed and enforced.
