During the busy, hectic Christmas season, sometimes you can't imagine finding time make dinner for your family, let alone finding time to throw a holiday party.
Our advice to you is...
make the time! Hosting a holiday Christmas party is a great way to kick off the festive holiday season and a perfect excuse to get together with old friends, family and neighbors to sit and visit with for an evening.
Send your guests festive invitations for your Christmas party with brightly colored foil paper of reds and greens.
Ask your guests to come dressed in their silliest Christmas sweaters they own to bring a chuckle to the group! You can also ask them to, if they'd like, bring an ornament for you to adorn on your Christmas tree, In return, you will send them home with an ornament as well.
That way, every year when you take out your decorations, you will remember your holiday party with fond memories.
If you are inviting children to your Christmas party, a fun activity for them to do would be to decorate their own Christmas stocking.
You can have a huge variety of decorating items that they can use to make their stockings personalized.
Instead of having just Christmas-type decorations, try adding some non-holiday items that will bring out their personalities, like ballet slipper buttons, car foam stickers, princess items, feather boas, animals.
It will be a fun keepsake for your guests to bring home with them when the party is over.
When your guests leave your Christmas party, send them away with goody bags full of special home made gifts like Christmas cookies, personalized coffee mugs and an ornament.
It will make your guests feel welcome and you'll be glad that you added that extra special touch.
To add a charitable spin to your fun Christmas party, ask your guests to bring in a non-perishable food item.
They can bring as much or as little as they would like.
The next day, you can load up the food into your car and deliver them to your nearest food bank to help out those people in need.
