Travelling onboard a low cost carrier can be very boring especially for children.
Reason being, most low cost carriers do not provide in-flight entertainment to its passengers.
Well-prepared parents will typically bring along a Nintendo or other mobile entertainment devices for their children to keep them occupied throughout the fight.
But what if you are among those who are not prepared? Here are some suggestions of what you can do onboard to keep your children occupied: 1) Rock-paper-scissors.
This game needs no introduction.
It is the most famous game played by children all over the world and they enjoy playing it over and over again.
2) Thumb wrestling.
I find that children as young as 3 years old are able to appreciate this game and they love it especially if you let them win.
How to play? Well, basically both players clutch at each other's hand using the four fingers and leaving the thumb to move freely.
The objective of the game is to pin the opponent's thumb.
3) Guess what I'm thinking.
This game is suitable for children from 4 years old and above.
The objective of the game is to let the other player to guess what you are thinking.
You start by thinking of an object and give out your first clue like the color, shape of the object etc.
The other player will then make a guess and will continue to do that until the word is guessed successfully.
4) Rhyming game.
Children love rhymes and I think that is the reason why there are so many books on ryhmes out there.
Start with a simple word like 'book', 'rug' etc.
Well, those are some of the games that you can try the next time when you are caught without any entertainment devices on-board a budget airlines.
