Location
Heilongjiang (???) Province is historically part of Manchuria - the northeast part of China that today is made up of Heilongjiang, Jilin and Liaoning Provinces. It is located in China's far north and borders Russia, Inner Mongolia and Jilin Province.
Capital City
Harbin (???) (also spelled Haerbin) is the capital and largest city in Heilongjiang.
Attractions
Most of Heilongjiang's attractions are centered around Harbin:
- Harbin's Ice & Snow Festival
- The Siberian Tiger preserve
- The old Russian Quarter
Skiing is becoming a popular sport in China and now Yabuli, a few hours outside Harbin, has a decent resort.
