How to Fix Windows XP Boot After Changing the Motherboard

    • 1). Insert the installation CD into the computer.

    • 2). Restart the computer and click any key to boot from the CD.

    • 3). Press "Enter" to begin the reinstallation.

    • 4). Press "F8" to accept the license agreement.

    • 5). Highlight the drive containing your current XP installation (normally "C") and press "R." This will repair and reconfigure the system for your new motherboard.
