HP J4680 Office Jet Printer Instructions
- 1). Pull out the paper tray and load it with your preferred paper stock. Push the paper guides in to fit the loaded paper stock.
- 2). Select "Print" from the program that your document is open in. You can also press "Control" and "P" to open the print dialog window.
- 3). Select your print job options, such as page range, number of copies to be made and collation. Press the "OK" button to begin the print job.
- 1). Lift the flatbed scanner cover and place the document to be faxed face-down on the glass screen. Close the scanner cover slowly to avoid dislodging the document. If you have multiple documents to fax, load documents face-side up into the automatic document feeder on the top of the printer.
- 2). Select "Fax B&W" or "Fax Color" on the HP's control panel by pressing either the "Left" or "Right" arrow buttons.
- 3). Input the number to fax the document to using the keypad on the control panel.
- 4). Press the "Start" button to fax the document.

- 3). Select "PC Copy B&W" or "PC Copy Color" using the "Left" or "Right" arrows on the control panel on the front of the printer.
- 4). Press "OK" and then "Start" to begin the copying job.
- 1). Open the scanner cover and place the document or photo face-down on the glass. Close the cover. Multiple documents can be placed in the automatic document feeder on the top of the machine.
- 2). Launch the scanner software on your computer. You can use HP Photosmart Software, which is bundled with your printer and can be installed from the included disc, or download Photo Creative, the latest imaging program, from the HP website. You can also use any TWAIN-enabled program, including Google Picasa or Adobe PhotoShop.
- 3). Run a scan job using the program. Depending on the program being used, a scan job can be accessed through an "Import," "Scan Document" or "Scan" button or menu selection.
- 4). Repeat steps 1 to 3 for any additional documents or photos to be scanned.
