Generally a lawn needs 1.5" of water a week during the summer to maintain a green color and active growth. When watering, it is important to "water deeply". Watering deeply means that you water enough that the water reaches the roots so that it is absorbed by the plant. Watering deeply every 2-3 days is much better than just giving it a spray everyday. Also, try to water as early in the day as possible to avoid the water evaporating in the afternoon (when the sun is at its hottest), or potential disease formation from wet leaves at night. Our final words of advice: Water thoroughly! Not frequently!
