How To Deal With A Broken Heart Today

When you are going through a painful breakup, and suffering from a broken heart, it can be very difficult to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
It may feel like everything is closing in.
You can't sleep or you sleep too much.
You have no appetite, or you eat junk all day.
You cry at the most inopportune times.
It's hard to even know exactly what the tears are about.
All you know, is that you hurt.
Well, this is truly the time, you need to be patient and loving to yourself.
You need to read encouraging words, and develop a "creed" in a way, for a better future.
A lot of times people use affirmations - the whole "fake it till you make it" way of thinking and acting.
Here are 11 affirmations and promises you can make to yourself during this difficult heartbreak.
They may not all apply to your situation, but maybe you can find one or two declarations you can hang onto.

I will NOT be defined by someone else's issues, that they are unwilling to work on.
2.
I will only be in a committed relationship that makes me feel good about myself.
3.
I DESERVE to be in a happy relationship, and not have to walk on eggshells or be terrified the other person will abandon me, in any way.
4.
I DESERVE to be listened to, and validated.
I will begin by listening and validating my own feelings.
5.
I DESERVE to LAUGH, far more than I cry, in a relationship.
6.
I will become SO strong, that nothing can shake me.
I will do whatever I need to do, to develop this strength.
7.
I will be willing to see how a broken heart now from losing the wrong person will pave the way to a healed heart to love the right person.
8.
I will expect the BEST for my new life.
9.
I will be happy for others success, as I celebrate my own.
10.
I know I will make my positive mark in this world, and I have already started in ways I don't even fully understand yet.
11.
I will meet people in my path that I never imagined, and doors will open that were once closed.
In summary, please hang in there.
You will get through this difficult time when you surround yourself with support, and most importantly, support yourself through a positive mindset that you WILL be more than OK.
You will be happy again! You may have to work hard every day, to put yourself in a good mental frame of mind, but it's worth it!
