How to Prevent Panic Attacks and Becoming Free
Every time we "beat" them, they just keep coming back.
Can we really prevent panic attacks or are we fighting for nothing? Panic attacks makes us feel jumpy, irritable, and physically unwell.
The body becomes tense and uncomfortable, and the mind becomes obsessed.
This permanent tension in the mind and body leads to troublesome symptoms like these: nausea, dizziness, exhaustion, vision problems, cramps, intrusive thoughts, feelings of unreality and depression, sleep disturbance, difficulty concentrating.
When experiencing all this different sensations- we try to struggle, but with no success.
Is this the right attitude to prevent panic attacks? This is the wrong attitude.
Changing this attitude is a fundamental first step.
When you keep on struggling with your panic attacks- you cause them to intensify.
It's a bit like wearing a tight, uncomfortable coat-once you stop struggling with the tension, you can relax and calm down more easily.
It's important to understand that you can never fully control what goes through your mind, but you can control how you react to what goes on there.
So, how to prevent anxiety attacks? Stop resisting them.
You know the saying that "what you resist, persists.
" Well that saying applies perfectly to fear.
If you resist a situation out of fear, the fear around that issue will persist.
How do you stop resisting- you move directly into it, into the path of the anxiety, and by doing so it cannot persist.
