How to Make Your Own Floating Pool Dispenser
- 1). Cut a small, square hole toward the bottom of a plastic bottle using a utility knife. Make the hole big enough for the tablets to fit through. Cut three sides of the square and leave the fourth side connected to create a flap in the bottle.
- 2). Make small cuts randomly over the surface of the bottle using the utility knife. Make the cuts in the shape of an "X." This will allow water to flow in and out slowly and keep the bottle afloat.
- 3). Place five or six tablets of bromine or chlorine in the bottle through the hole's flap. Push the flap down so it covers the hole when you are finished inserting the tablets. Place the bottle in the pool and let it float around.
