Flower Origami Directions
- 1). Place the piece of origami paper on a flat surface with the colored side facing up.
- 2). Fold the paper in half from left to right. Crease and unfold. Fold in half again from top to bottom. Crease and unfold.
- 3). Turn the paper over, colored side down. Fold in half along each diagonal. Crease and unfold each time.
- 4). Face one edge of the square towards you. Hold the paper at the center points on the left and right edges. Fold the edges down to meet the center point on the bottom edge. Flatten the paper, folding inward along the diagonal creases you just made. The result is a multilayered triangle, known as the water bomb base.
- 5). Take the right edge of the top layer of the triangle. Fold the right edge to meet the center line. Crease and unfold. Open up the layer you just folded and flatten it along the crease you made. This forms a diagonal shape in the center of the model.
- 6). Repeat step 5 on each of the four flaps of the water bomb base, resulting in a multilayered diamond model.
- 7). Take the two outer corners of the top diamond layer. Fold the corners in to meet the center crease. Crease and unfold.
- 8). Fold the bottom tip of the whole model up to the top tip, forming a horizontal crease.
- 9). Take the bottom tip of the top layer and open it up. Fold it up to the top tip. Using the creases you made in the last two steps, flatten and fold the sides inward to form a smaller diamond on the top of the model. Crease well.

Repeat steps 7 to 9 for each of the four flaps of the model. - 11
Fold each of the four layers down, forming a horizontal crease at the outermost corners. Now you have a narrow diamond shape. - 12
Turn the paper 180 degrees so the open layers face upward. - 13
Fold in the outermost corners in to meet the center crease, forming two sharp tips at the bottom corner. Flatten along each crease. - 14
Repeat step 13 on each of the four sides. - 15
Fold down the top layer, forming a crease slightly below the outermost corners of the model. Fold down each side, creating the petals of the flower. Point each petal outward to complete the lily.
