How to Remove the First Set of Blossoms From Pepper Plants
- 1). Plant the pepper plants in the spring when the threat of spring frost has passed. Place the pepper plants into the soil at the same depth as they were in the temporary pots.
- 2). Inspect the pepper plants for any blossoms that are on the plants at the time of planting. If you find any blossoms, use pruning shears to clip them off just under the blossom and discard them.
- 3). Watch the pepper plants during the first week after planting them outside. Remove any blossoms that appear during this week with the pruning shears. After the initial week, allow the plants to blossom.
