How to Remove Mirrors With J-Clips

104 48
    • 1). Clear a space nearby where you can place the mirror after you remove it from the wall. Make sure this spot is secure and offers no hazards that may break or damage the mirror.

    • 2). Lift the mirror up with one person on each side in tandem. Each person should grip his side of the mirror with one hand near the bottom and the other near the top. The upper J-clips will have a small amount of distance, about 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch, that the mirror can lift into for removal. Slide the mirror upward to free the bottom edge.

    • 3). Swing the bottom edge of the mirror away from the wall at a 20-degree angle. This will enable the bottom of the mirror to slide out of the bottom J-clips where it previously rested.

    • 4). Slide the mirror downward to exit the top J-clips, continuing to grip it firmly near its top and bottom, and set it aside on a flat stable surface. Both people need to move at the same rate. Place the mirror gently in your cleared space.
