Aprilaire Humidifier Instructions
- 1). Turn the Blower Activation Switch to "ON" to turn on the furnace fan. With this setting turned on, the blower turns on when humidity is needed.
- 2). Turn the Humidifier Control dial setting to "5" the first time you use the humidifier. Over the next 24 to 48 hours, adjust the control as necessary to achieve the appropriate humidity setting.
- 3). Turn the control dial down by one increment if you notice condensation on your windows over the next 24 to 48 hours. If you notice a lack of humidity -- static electricity or dry eyes or throat -- turn the control dial up by one increment. Keep adjusting the control until you achieve a comfortable humidity setting.
- 4). Leave the humidity setting at whatever setting feels most comfortable once achieved. It's unnecessary to adjust the control after this point since it automatically adjusts on its own. Make adjustments if you notice obvious changes in your home's humidity level. Pay attention to not only how you feel, but also how your home reacts -- peeling wallpaper indicates low humidity while mold or moisture on your walls indicates high humidity.
