Easter Table Centerpiece Information
- Floral arrangements are a common Easter centerpiece.pink lilies image by leafy from Fotolia.com
Easter, which normally falls during spring, is a celebration of rebirth and renewal. Flowers are a traditional representation of this. Create a centerpiece out of a colorful Easter basket and fill it with spring flowers such as tulips or daisies. Tulips can look like eggs in the basket, an added touch for the holiday. Lilies are another traditional Easter flower. Fill a tall clear vase with pastel colored marbles or gems from a craft store and add water and the flowers. - Candles can add splashes of color to your table.potted candles image by citylights from Fotolia.com
For smaller tables, candles are a creative option. Evoke a theme of flowers by creating daffodil votive holders out of paper bags. Paint the bags yellow and cut them in strips to the height of your glass-encased votive. Arrange the strips as open flower petals around the candle. Use the cracked shells of your colored eggs as candle holders. Take empty shells and place votive or tea light candles inside. Set the shells in egg cups and create a centerpiece. - The Easter Bunny is a natural decorating idea.stuffed bunny image by Pedro Nogueira from Fotolia.com
Bunnies and birds are whimsical representatives of Easter. Fill a rectangular tray with real grass or basket grass and place colorful ceramic bunnies and chicks throughout. Add more color with real or fake carrots scattered about. Paint a terra cotta planter in pastel colors and place one large plush rabbit and two smaller plush bunnies inside. If your table space is limited, use a smaller planter and one bunny. - Foil wrapped candies provide color and treats to an Easter table.easter bunnies and chocolates image by Cindy Haggerty from Fotolia.com
Use Easter candy to bring color and joviality to your table. Add jelly beans to a clear vase holding fresh flowers. Fill an over-sized basket with traditional Easter candy, including large chocolate bunnies, marshmallow animals, and colorfully wrapped treats. Use a grass-filled tray to create a mini Easter egg hunt. Place plastic eggs filled with candy -- some spilled open -- and foil wrapped chocolate eggs throughout the tray. These centerpieces can also serve as dessert! - Colored eggs provide color and theme to a centerpiece.color easter eggs image by charles taylor from Fotolia.com
Small additions to any centerpiece you create can make a big impression. For a decoration that lacks all the color you want, add pastel-colored confetti around it. Finish off a floral arrangement that is tall enough but not as broad as you want by adding candles around it. Place dyed eggs in egg cups throughout the table to connect the centerpiece to all the guests.
